Are you thinking about the perfect father – son movie night for this years Father’s Day? Let me help you out by suggesting these heartfelt films to share between father or son. Don’t worry, there is nothing suggested to get all teary about just good wholesome ‘man time’ for you and your son to enjoy together.
Although it is a wide spread rumor that men do not want to watch a movie unless someone’s head gets blown off, it is highly recommended that for this father’s day, you take some time to watch one of these all time classics with your young man. Remember to stay active, after so many good movies you need to get moving. If I could suggest one activity between father and son it would be to go at it on one of the best air hockey table set ups. Tiny holes of air, little to no friction, a score board, what more can you ask for?

May I suggest these Movie Night picks for young to pre-teen aged sons.
“Finding Nemo“ Is a very touching, heartrending animated movie about a loving father’s quest to finding his son. The story is about two clown fish, Nemo the son and his overprotective father Marlin.
This movie will take you and your son on a journey of a father’s quest in finding the one person he holds near and dear to his heart, his son.
“The Lion King“ Although a cartoon, this movie has some strong emotions and messages in it. The themes of love, leadership, loyalty, and the bond between father and son are adequately portrayed in this movie.
This movie shows what a true man of the house is; one that is willing to sacrifice all for his family.
“The Pursuit of Happiness“ Another exceptionally touching movie, this movie is based on a true story stared by Will Smith and his son Jaden. This movie will take you through tear jerking moments of what a true sacrifice is and what a father’s abundant love for his child means.
This movie is a definite must see and true emotions are reflected in this movie because you can see the love between father and son.
May I suggest these Movie Night picks for teens to adult aged sons.
“2012“ Other than being a cataclysmic end to the world, 2012 is also another movie that shows what a true father is. Although unlike the other movies, the father was not the ideal father to begin with and he and his son did not get along, the movie shows a father’s love and compassion to his family. It also shows true emotions of how a son sees his father when things do not turn out how they think it should.
This movie is a must see because if you do not want to see it only for that father and son moment close to the end, you might want to see it for everything else that it is.
“Big Fish” is about a son trying to decipher the truth from his father’s tall tales, and about what will be passed down from father to son to grandson. Throughout his life Edward Bloom (Ewan McGregor) has always been a man of big appetites, enormous passions and tall tales.
In his later years he remains a huge mystery to his son, William (Billy Crudup). Now, to get to know the real man, Will begins piecing together a true picture of his father from flashbacks of his amazing adventures in this marvel of a movie.
