My Review: Dreaming shouldn’t always be scary but at least four teenagers would disagree as they are being stalked and killed in their dreams, and therefore killed in reality. This one has a real scare factor in that for many who watched it in the 80’s Freddy truly haunted their dreams. Robert Englund is perfect as Freddy, he brings just the right amount of creepiness to the character.
This cult classic has been a favorite in my household since it first appeared in theaters in 1984, the year I got married. It never gets old and is a must have for any true horror fans movie collection. There are actually nine movies in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise now and I would recommend watching them all. You’ll definitely want to add this one to your Halloween watch list.
Creep Factor: 5/5
IMDb: Several people are hunted by a cruel serial killer who kills his victims in their dreams. While the survivors are trying to find the reason for being chosen, the murderer won’t lose any chance to kill them as soon as they fall asleep.
Duration: 1h 31min
