Garden treasure hunts : This requires a bit work from the grown-ups but is a tremendous hit with the kids and is so much fun for the grown-ups to watch occur. Plan a garden treasure hunt, hiding clues around the garden and scattering prizes as you go along. Prizes might be things such as sweets and chocolates, or might be natural items that look pretty likes stones and feathers which your child will keep as mementos afterwards.
Fishing : This really is a timeless classic, and many families continue to enjoy fishing trips each year. Going fishing gets your kids outside in spring, getting them into the natural world as they learn about what lives under the water. Many kids find this particularly interesting, as they generally don’t get to observe fish close up.
Camping : Yet another classic outdoor activity for the family is camping. Camping is a great deal of fun as well as truly educational for kids. They get to appreciate being outdoors while learning about the natural world , along with getting a few camping lessons along the way. Camping is usually great for family bonding with everyone placed around the campfire enjoying food and fun together.
Visit a petting farm : Everybody adores cute baby animals, so there’s not a better time to check out a petting farm than in spring . You can introduce your kids to the animals that farmers raise , enabling them learn about the entire farming process while getting up close and personal with the animals themselves. A little lamb, a calf or a few small fluffy chicks are certain to impress your kids and put huge smiles on their faces.
Grow a Garden : Spring is the time for new growth , so why not make the most and teach your kids a little something about it? Growing flowers is an excellent way to teach kids what spring is all about, and observing a plant develop and hopefully exhibit a beautiful flower can be extremely rewarding and even educational for your child. You can also give the project an additional valuable element by growing herbs instead using them in your cooking to demonstrate to kids something about where their food comes from.
